I keep them on my desk but if I had to put them all in one place it would be a book case or a display case. Infact, when I looked at cases before I noticed that Ikea made quite a few nice looking ones. I think they use metal halide lights in the cases though, so they get hot. I don't know how good that is for the figures.

display cases are pretty hard to find.. and most of the time they are pretty expensive..
i was thinking about housing them with a giant plastic aquarium... not sure if that's a good idea.

Buying figures actually inspired me to clean up and reorganize my room and it looks much better now that I've freed up space on two of my shelves.

I just got Alter's Momohime today. I'm thinking of getting an acrylic box just for her to protect from my messy, clumsy self.

I'm using my grandma's buffet or whatever this shit is called.

I want a couple of those, but there's no Ikea store in my state and they charge over $300 shipping online, which is insane. I know they're glass, but they're not oeven assembled or anything.

Mine are on a wall shelf above a dresser a few feet to my right. They slowly collect dust, but I have some compressed air to clean them off. They're also out of complete sunlight, which probably helps.

Detolfs. Installed a couple lights in the top of them... looks great at night.

The Youmu and Mokou ones are the only griffon touhou figures I'd buy. I think the Mokou is sold out anywhere that isn't charging like 130 dollars, though.

Momohime is one of the most detail and beautiful figurine I have in a while. Totally worth the money to get her, now the next figurine that I am waiting for is Boa Hancock, so glad I pre order that figurine quick, it was sold out pretty darn quick.

Back on the subject of display cases, are there any other popular cases besides the Detolfs at Ikea? They're probably the most accessible, but are there any readily available out there that are bigger and a bit more dust-proof? I'm kinda looking for a couple, but I'd like to find better options before settling on the detolfs. I suppose sporting goods stores would be a good start, but I imagine any cabinets/cases they sell would be over-priced.

Well, I wasn't too concerned about cost, mostly if it's accessible or doesn't require a lot of DIY. My only gripe with the detolfs is they they are a bit too square and encourage crowding figures on shelves. I was kind of hoping to find something a bit more wide that would allow figures to spread out. Putting foam padding in the gaps seems like a good idea though, it makes me feel a little bit easier about settling for a Detolf. Thanks.

You know, I'd stop buying figures entirely if I could hire a perfect waifu to clean my stuff. But real maids are terrible, they don't give a shit about the condition of any of your stuff. I've never had one myself, but I had a friend who had a ton of broken toys and controllers because his families maids. They only care if it's clean, not if it still functions properly.

Well at least it's Ikea assembly so it will be easy mode. Also while cost might not be an issue, comparable cases will cost you quite a bit more so at that point it might be a concern.
