Her dialogue there is probably asking more about whether Alice meant to give them functioning eyes, so they could be affected by her illusions in the first place.

Reisen is actually large, ugly and fat, but people on the other side of the screen (US) are already hypnotized by special code ZUN puts into the games that makes it appear so that she's beautiful. This is why she's abused in Gensokuo, because she's ugly.

Fanart of her is also of her hideous form, but the hallucination code is drawn in subconsciously, so everyone sees her ugly art as cute art.

Lunar born youkai are immensely more powerful than Gensokyo native youkai. In a real fight, Reisen, or any other Eientei youkai barring Tewi and anyone before Stage5 Reisen could wipe out even Yukari in the blink of an eye.

Reisen looks strong on paper, but wiggle something the right way and she's downright fucking confused. Sound and sight are both wavelengths; it just depends on how many vibrations per second you can pull off. Given that most Touhous can warp reality with the bat of an eyelash, Reisen is understandably subordinate under Eirin.

Lunar rabbits are obviously just Lunarians born into a servant caste. The ears (actually antennas) serve a dual purpose: to tell them apart from the other castes and to telepathically communicate with one another. They're only called rabbits because the ears look kinda like those of Earth rabbits.

The idea of having a soft, warm, fuzzy little Reisen that I can nuzzle up against my cheek like a kitten and pat on the head, has almost tempted me to get a pet dwarf rabbit and name it Reisen. Of course if I ended up with two, then the other one would be Tewi.
