People call Sakura a slut because she's a terrible character in a terrible route in a terrible novel.

Kohaku arguably did worse but we all love her.

The two "two demonic half-breeds" killed a lot of people in the meanwhile, under her control.
And she could have killed them easily in the sleep drugging them, but she didn't because she's insane.

I actually don't dislike Sakura or Kohaku, but honestly they really are my least favorite heroines in both of their games. Yeah, I even like Ciel better than Kohaku.

I think it's because I think of them both as villains, not heroines, and rate them differently.

SHIKI wasn't under Kohaku's control. She just sorta turned him loose. Akiha didn't kill anyone but SHIKI. SHIKI only turned up a huge body count when Roa Inside ® was in control. Otherwise, he murdered maybe one or two people a night. He wasn't out for that long, time wise. That's less than 100 people, probably.

Honestly, implying that Melty Blood came before Kagetsu Tohya just reeks of ignorance. I, for one, liked her before even playing Melty Blood or reading Kagetsu Tohya, but that's just me.

She was half-dead and and acted upon the survival instinct of Angra Mainyu. Sakura never consciously killed anyone who wasn't a bad guy (except for that one bad end, but Rin deserved it for being a bitch without any sympathy). Also, note how Sakura haters don't seem to mind Sacchin killing innocents. Yet another case of them being hypocrites.

I just don't see this. Kagetsu Tohya alone touches on the abuse she suffered a few times. It's not like it was totally cast away, she just kept holding on to her "happy mask" while relearning how to truly be happy.

I sometimes wonder if people just don't actually read any of it.

The whole point of Melty Blood is that nothing has to make any fucking sense. It's not like any of it is canon, anyway. The only story that Kohaku and Hisui appear in involves a Mech Hisui army, Akiha as a giant, and Kohaku and Miyako being superpowered by an insane, vampiric thespian.

If you're actually using that to define anyone's character, you're psychotic

Personally I don't like Sakura because I think she is a terrible character.
It's not about her morality, the fact that she kills people or whatnot, just that I find her both boring and not endearing.

Well, even though I said I like Ciel better than Sakura and Kohaku, what you guys mentioned about MB does bring up a good point. I'll admit I liked Kohaku a bit better due to her having a fucking hng voice in MB, and Sakura's voice in the anime and then the full-voiced version of Fate was great too.

Not that I *disliked* either before of course. Kohaku's story was insanely depressing.
