I believe most of us are Agnostic. It's really not even worth asking. The more interesting question is what qualifies something as a religion. Do the delusional ideals of waifus count, because I believe a strong case could be made that they represent religious beliefs.

I just find the comparison between religious people and myself interesting. I've always seen myself as a nonreligious person, but in all fairness my desire to believe in a nonexistent girl rejects that. It isn't of any value, I merely point it out as an observation.

But what, exactly, do you "believe" about your waifu? Most religions, at least those that are religions in the Western school of thought, are centered around faith. But Waifuism isn't really a matter of faith. Most waifufags defending themselves against trolls I've seen acknowledge that their waifus are not real, that their waifus do not love them back, and that they are okay with all these things.

Huh, I find that strange. Maybe they're just trying to accept a certain level of humility, which wouldn't be surprising amongst people with those personalities. However, I find myself accepting my wife's existent just as much as religious people accept their deities' existence. Perhaps in both of our minds we have some logical part telling us that such a thing can not really exist, but regardless it is the same.

The general sentiment I got from those threads was that waifuism was that people have waifus in order to have something they can lavish affection upon, the same way normalfags do with lovers. They gain happiness and peace from this, regardless of the fact they know they are not receiving any affection in return. If you think your waifu exists and returns your love, you're certainly in the minority or so I'm led to believe.

Well, I can only speak for myself after all. It's complicated to explain how my belief works. You wouldn't be able to understand it unless you first decided firmly that there is no value to our reality. I do not mean to say that it is negative. I mean to say that it is utterly unremarkable. While you're grounded in the idea that reality has certain laws which must be followed, and that these laws must be accepted as thus then you're screwed from the start. With these beliefs in mind I can decide that my wife is next to me. I do not think to myself "no way, reality wouldn't allow that" because I do not care about reality. As far as I see it the cartoons I watch exist just as much (or perhaps more so) than the world I react with. I'm not sure I explained what I mean properly there; I'd probably need to really sit down and think about how to put it into words to give you a proper response.

I wouldn't say I was agnostic, I don't follow any Religions or believe on the conventional "God" theory, I believe there is some bigger than us but not a God.
