So I was thinking about writing a yukkuri story that was epicly good. While I am not saying torture is stupid, I don't want it to be another story where they just get all killed or something. I also want it not to be one of those mindless, gushy ones filed with nothing but happiness and rainbows. Any suggestions? I probably won't do it because I have drawings skills equal to ZUN. ;_;

Don't insult ZUN.

Actually, I don't see any contradiction between #2 and #3. Quite the opposite.

Why does that Yukkuri look so charming?

Because that yukkuri is not a hag in any way.

It could be about these two and the trials they must oversee or something.

I can't help but be mildly sexually attracted to the face that yukkurin is making.

Are we forgetting the best yukkuri of all?

>> No.5862964

The story will go like this:
In Gensokyo, Yukkuri are naturally-occuring pests as a by-product of magic in the atmosphere, and they mimic the traits and appearance of the being closest when they are formed.

One day, a Cirno Yukkuri gains self-awareness.
Despite being a Cirno Yukkuri, she is actually pretty street-smart (And not really an idiot in any way) and decides she's tired of seeing her species get killed by annoyed Gensokyoukains and tries to set up an isolated Yukkuri colony.
Along the way she meets up with other sentient Yukkuri and forms a party, etc.

Themes are the value of life and the role of the cosmic orphan.

I certainly wouldn't mind a story like this. I could possibly write it, but much like OP, I can't draw, and half the appeal of yukkuris are the visuals.

Sorry, that's not my job. I just come up with the stupid ideas.

>>5863026

I actually don't even like Cirno; I just thought it would be the nicest subversion to have a Cirno character whose intelligence isn't the butt of every joke.

>Captcha: impolite character

>> No.5863232

The cast would be as followed:
Not-dumb Cirno-type
Not-rapist Alice-type
Easygoing Aya-type
Vegitarian Flan-type (or Remi-type or both)
Above average intelligence Patchy-type

Sounds like a game campaign you'd run in BESM. Once you had a Yukkuri template it would be pretty easy (but you'd have to avoid fighting with touhous at all costs D:).

Don't be so mean. I remember when I used to have dreams. ;_;

>> No.5863286

>>5863232

Too much obvious inversion.

I'd go for:

Streetsmart Cirno
Supportive positive lancer-type tomboy best friend Kaguya
Teacup Kisume (Serious samurai-type personality, strongest of the group)
Cruel tsundere-jerk type Koishi
Deadpan snarker Murasa

>> No.5863305

>>5863286
Would Kaguya-types be able to be tomboyish? Also, what about all the rampaging Eirin-types that would probably follow it?

>> No.5863329

>>5863305

Just imagine a tomboy with a hime cut.
Mmmm~

The Eirin types (which have not yet developed conscious self-awareness) shun this particular Kaguya because she doesn't act princesslike enough.
An outcast from the rest of the Eientei Yukkuris, it's our hero Cirnotype who sees her worth and invites her to join.

>> No.5863353

>>5863286
Samurai Teacup Kisume HNNNNNNNNNNG!

>> No.5863356

>>5863286

Also, the tsunderejerkKoishi will be our hero's main love interest.

She'll refuse to admit her feelings until they're trapped in a dire situation with no hope of survival, which prompts Koishi to finally admit she's interested in someone else... which makes her third eye open.

With her new mindpowers, Koishi rescues the party from danger.

Well then there's an ending that isn't happiness and rainbows like the OP wanted.

>> No.5863574

OP, you have my praise.
Try describing a yukkuri family's life in a different environment, or under particular conditions.

Then, if needed, add a danger factor.

>> No.5863587

Such as jerkface anons or an angry utsuho-type.

>> No.5863591

Well, despite all the troll say I'd admit that yukkuri stories have a certain charm: I don't know if it's the catchphrases, the fact that they perceive reality in a extremely simple way and are quite funny to watch...

This said, I enjoy the "rainbow" stories as much as the torture one. The gorier, the merrier.

>> No.5863635

Well to yukkuris anything can be a danger...
Behold, yukkuris! A chair!

...
...
...and then a Chen, to show her agility, jumps on the chair. Then goes down carelessly, landing on a koyukkuri Reimu.
Or a Marisa, to show her strenght, jump against the chair and moves it. The chair, falling, moves something else, or breaks the glass of the owen, hurting all the family.
Or there's a cat on the chair. Killfest ensues.

Hell, everything is a danger to yukkuris.
