This...actually makes sense.

If you had an average party, alomst every level would take about an hour in FFXI and you can trim that down to 30-40 minutes with a really good party set-up.
Grinding would only take forever if you were one of those people pulling off maxing out every job.

Haha, I'm the one feeling manhandled. Was it ever a relief to play Meiling, a character that moves normally. Getting the distance right with Remi is a skill I havn't mastered. You even won more of those matches than I did.

About tips... as you can tell, I'm pretty new too.
The amount of people I've played can be counted on one hand.

Though if I had to give any advice, it would be to not rely to much on those stars and stay out the sky. I'm not very good at punishing people who stay in the air and chicken block, but I heard that there are some who would absolutely destroy someone who does that. That, and the fact that I can even use a combination of meilings bullets to get through your bullet pressure.

Still, I think we have the same amount of play experience, I only started 2 weeks ago.

Probably not a dead accurate description, but zoning has to do with filling the arena with projectiles so your opponent has less space to work with and less options for attacking. Pretty much about controlling space and loose pressure.

For limit, at 100% your opponent will "blue ring", which is basically just a knockdown that can't be air or ground teched, so you get more time for okizeme. Bit more complicated than that, but that's the basics of it.

Zoning in soku is all about effective bullet spam. To get the opponent where you want or not letting him to you. It's most important because of the 8-way flight, dash, BE etc.

Limit is simply there to limit combos. Once you do a combo with over 100 limit, you can't hit anymore. A good thing is that the opponent can't airtech if limited. You usually want to set up tech traps on combos that do not limit.

As an aside, it's come to my attention that Tenco actually allows players to hide their stats.
As in, your rank and such are still taken into calculation when related to other player's (who have chosen to be visible) rankings, but your own stats and rankings simply do not appear in the calculation of things like average score for your character and such.

I liked our contrasting styles even though we play the same characters - that is a clever way to use the catfish and by the end there I would reflexively jump. Unfortunately, there was too much delay for me to properly work on your defense in the corner.

Pretty much all people I've played against fall for it the first times around, but it's not very effective after they get used to it. My joke deck also includes ridiculous potential for weather play, but that's not very useful in mirror matches. Besides, getting hit 3 times by your 2-card spells during a single typhoon I thought it's better to leave the weather alone.

I would have liked it if you stuck with your proper decks and shown me some more tricks. I noticed you setting typhoon weather often too, although you should probably use Youmu's 5/2C to gain the advantage through hitstun in the absence of spell cards.

I might have done that if I wasn't so tired. I've noticed that I play a lot better when not trying to execute my carefully planned attacks and use my joke deck instead when I'm tired. I was actually writing a post announcing that I'm no longer hosting when you happened to join.

Since I'm around here pretty often, feel free to join some other time, I don't mind this amount of lag. I might alternate between Youmu, Cirno and Meiling, though.
