Not needed at all, as they are just different stories in the same universe; Muvluv takes place after Akane Mainax, which somehow works as a link between it and KimiNozo. There's a ton of references, especially in Extra, such as remixed songs from KimiNozo, characters like Akane appearing now and then or Sumika being ran over with KimiNozo's OP playing in the background. Later in Alternative even more KimiNozo characters are introduced, but it's not a problem because the whole Muvluv saga is a self contained story.

Alternative begins like Unlimited, you wake up in your room in a Beta-devasted city. Though now Takeru has knowledge from Unlimited, so he knows what's up and remembers about Unlimited up until his probable death in the massive counterattack operation.
The fact that later he remembers all the individual Unlimited routes is a plot point and it's explained in the game.

Tonigobe released a new chapter from Unlimited's manga, go grab it at his site. You may want to download what he's done so far anyway, since the manga is even more interesting once you've read the game.

Supplement and Altered Fable are fandisks. Altered Fable contains a non-cannon continuation of Alternative's ending as well as a bunch of short stories and bonus material. I've never played supplement, but I'd assume it's something along a similar line.

As far as I know, neither one has been translated, so you shouldn't worry about them.
