I just had a passing thought... what do the Japanese do with their briefcase book bags after highschool? Do they ditch them because they don't want to be associated with high school anymore or do they use them long after they graduate?

>> No.5783350

they shit into them and then pass them on younger generations.

>> No.5783353

I don't know, but either way, I'm pretty sure it's a cultural thing rather than a personal thing, so everyone do exactly the same.

>> No.5783369

What did you do with your backpack?

>> No.5783378

I never used a backpack for school. Always carried my shit with my hands.

I used a suitcase. Blank aluminum suitcase. People were constantly asking whether I was carrying money or a bomb.

I still use it

I used a plastic bag.

I kept my backpack, but maybe they have a different mentality over there. I mean, crap, they pay out the nose for their anime limited editions which is something I sure wouldn't do.

I bet you carry your older sister's underwears inside the suitcase.

I just had a passing thought... what do the Japanese do with their randoseru after elementary school? Do they ditch them because they don't want to be associated with elementary school anymore or do they use them long after they graduate?

I do not know, I never thought to asked them about.. bags
But graduation day is very emotional, so there are a number of bags that are passed around for class/year autographs..

>> No.5783708

>>5783685
See, that's something interesting that I didn't know. Never figured that they would use their schoolbags like yearbooks for signatures.

So that probably means they keep their bookbags as keepsakes and not use them, since it's got writing all over it.

So a more interesting question is: If you saw some grown man with a high school bag, what would you think?

In the Netherlands, graduating students fly the national flag and hang their school backpack on the flagpole on graduation day. After that it's up to the person whether to keep the backpack or to throw it away. I kept mine at first, but eventually threw it away because it had some issues.

I'd post a picture of it, but I seem to have lost it...

poorfag here, still have the same old bag i had for 3 years in highschool, been a year out since and i think its around the closet

>> No.5784489

>>5784412
If you truly were a poorfag, you would've had a bag that was so cheap it didn't last three years. I used multiple bags during high school since they were all cheap 5-10 euros bags.
