Is Tsukihime really so much better? I didn't bother after I played F/SN because I didn't really like it. But if it's that much better I'll give it a go.

>> No.5738837

The only people who honestly think that F/SN is better than Tsukihime, had F/SN be their first VN.

Hisui's route was the best, if you ask me.
The whole mind-fuckery was so bloody amazing. I just loved to see Shiki fall into paranoia.
I'll take that over action and drama any day.

They are different. F/sn is more action oriented, whereas Tsukihime is more into suspense. There are action scenes, but not as many and as good as the ones in F/sn. However, I liked the way Tsukihime was written far over F/sn's.

>> No.5738864

If you're just interested in the action and pretty colors and stuff, then don't bother. I think Tsukihime has the better story.

>> No.5738878

Tsukihime is leagues better. Tsukihime is more about the people and the mystery surrounding them, where as F/SN is about action and heroism before anything else.

It was indeed, my main issue with it was that, in my opinion, Nasu was too bland when it came down to Shirou's growth. I mean, the hardest decision he had to made in his path to become a hero of justice (in game this is) was to let those nearly dead children die, during the scene in the Church's basement in Fate route.

I was wondering how they could have done THAT bad with such a good story, then I remembered <Arc's Route> and it became somewhat understandable. Seriously, Ciel or Kohaku route would have been the best choices for an adaption.

A complain I do have for Nasu, is that he should do a better job with his introductory routes.

Arc had the best ending ever though for the Good End. It was perfect.

I don't care about blonde foreigners. I love Arc and Saber, as for his explanations, he has them in all the routes, the problem is he leaves all the good things for the other routes, leaving the 1st route as seriously lacking when compared to the others.

>> No.5742379

My god...these jokes are waaay old already...Seriously it was good as a TM meme back then but not anymore.

Anyway, Tsukihime and Fate/Stay Night has their own genres and therefore one cannot compare them as each person has their own preferred genre. Also its unfair how Tsukihime as more or less a doujin game back then and FSN was gifted with so much advertising and budget when TM became a company (thanks to Tsukihime). Let's see how TM will pull of the Tsukihime remake, now with more budget!
