Other than Rosa, Erika was the only one who showed any concern for Maria's upbringing. Everyone else was content to keep feeding her lies and allowing her to grow up as a friendless autistic retard. Even your beloved Battler was eager to keep fueling her delusions and further compound her problems.

Erika just wants to get to the truth. Is that so wrong? She's just a little frustrated because everyone else on the island is a liar or an idiot or both. But she's out there fighting the good fight even if everyone else is against her. She should be an example to us all.

Sometimes the truth hurts, and Erika was the only one with resolve to say what needed to be said. Maria doesn't have a few more years to grow out of her fantasies. She's already being ostracized at school because of it. Everyone's all "oh boo hoo she's just a kid" but if you leave that shit as it is then it's just a teen suicide waiting to happen.

That's a problem with the Ushiromiya family in general. For all their grandeur and glory no one is willing to face up to the truth. Kinzo's children pissing away the family fortune on one bad investment after another with their significant others "supporting" them all they while, saying "don't worry it'll be okay let's just swindle some more money to squander from the other relatives." George, with his "talent" for steering conversation away from unpleasant topics, choosing to ignore life's problems instead of confronting them. Jessica, with her inability to be honest with herself. Battler, running away from the family altogether and then spending several games not even affording himself the possibility of victory because of his refusal to accept there might be a killer in the family. And the servants... yeah.

And then you have Erika. A beacon of honesty and integrity on this island of idiocy and lies. The one person out of the lot who isn't afraid to dig up the truth and lay it bare for all the world to see, even if it means denying her own existence. She's the only person in this entire game who is comfortable with accepting the world for what it is and rather than wrapping herself in layers upon layers of comforting lies.

How could Erika not exist on the gameboard of Episode 6? It says right in the red truth:
