As of now, this new system is still in beta. Please keep this in mind. At this moment, it is only possible to upload mp3 files and songs won't be requested automatically. We can switch to the old system anytime if something goes wrong.

Main server now holds up to 10 people. There are a number of relay servers up that automatically redirect you when the main server is full, so don't worry.

You can still submit logo's for the website. Make sure it's 300x100 and I'll make sure it's in the rotation. Lets see some of that /jp/ creativity.

Point out any problems you have with V2. It's still being worked on, and if there are any major problems we'll just switch to the old version.

Maybe I should have at least waited until the chorus before skipping.

Don't know if it's because the troll tracks were mostly removed since the move, or most of the summerfriends seem to have gone away to summer camp or something, but the stream has been pretty nice quality recently. I know what you mean, especially since lots of Vocaloid songs have been getting uploaded and requested lately. I fact, I was about to request a Miku song, but the artist was recently played, so can't request yet.

Problem is, there are some people who don't like Vocaloid songs, so it can count as a Vocaloid limit. Even if they're different composers, and different genres of songs, they're still Vocaloid songs, which some people would rather not hear back to back all the time.

I'll see if there's a way to possibly lower the limit on a particular artist though.

Just a suggestion. It'd mean less work for you, and better for us since we'd be able to request songs easier and such.

I'm sure if the stream goes down quite a few people will just leave and wait for Monday (or just leave all together), but if the stream stays up then you have less of a chance of people losing interest.

Paperworks are finished earlier then expected. The main stream (including website) is now up again.

The upload script has also been updated. If the script detects ID3v1 tags in an mp3 file, it automatically removes them and copies them as ID3v2.4.
I also added ogg support. I don't think unicode is supported for ogg tags at all. Therefor, any tags you submit using the form are directly written to the ogg file. Make sure you remove all the moonrunes, or you might not be able to find your song in the playlist (this is only the case for ogg files. Other then the conversion of ID3v1 to ID3v2.4, it's still the same).

So I like this stream and all, but it lags a lot for me.
Usually it plays maybe 2-3 songs or less before it starts to lag, then I have to pause the stream for a while before I can use it again.

Anybody know how to fix this?

Seeing how /jp/ radio mods handled this stuff in the past, I can say that if your song was a reasonable length, it probably wouldn't have been skipped. Non-/jp/ related songs get played from time to time, but they're usually thrown out if they're a 10 minute song or something.

I'm sure I check it more frequently than some others. It has been pretty slow since the move. I guess some listeners moved on when the songlist disappeared. I like when the thread is quiet myself, but it's been a little too quiet. Lots of listeners taking it easy and requesting every now and then though, since we do still have quite a few listeners that tune in regularly.

Perhaps when a new thread is made, more people will join in. I have to update the thread pasta anyway to reflect the recent changes and maybe put a short note in the first post to check the relays if the main stream is full, since it's giving us problems with redirecting. I'd imagine many people try to join seeing the first post, then just shrug and move on when they see the server is full, not opening the thread to see that there are relays.

Good, because you don't have to do this anymore. Pyonta-kun made a script that automatically rips the tags if they're in ID3v1 and writes them to ID3v2.4 for you when you upload. Just give your file a proper name when uploading.

Although I will say that I've run into a problem that may or may not have been a one time thing, but I'll be sure to tell Pyonta about it when he gets up.

Yeah, tested again. Script worked earlier, but it seems Pyonta messed with it before sleeping or something. We've gotten the script to work though, so I'll have him fix it in the morning. I've already had a song I uploaded have tags automatically fixed for me.

I don't mean filename, I just mean the names you enter when uploading the song. The files are saved on the server based on the names you give the files. If you put the artist as "Pikachu" and the song as "Pikarap" then it saves on the server as Pikachu - Pikarap.mp3

The actual song name and stuff gets pulled from the file. If you can't get the exact name of the file or anything, you could probably just tag it with something you remember to tell us. We have other methods of finding a song aside from songname, but it just makes things easier for us if the names are entered properly upon upload. If it's not possible, you don't have to stress yourself too much over it.
