Foobar can play the .tta files but if you feel like converting them to .FLAC or whatever for your MP3 player/Media player of choice then Foobar also provides an easy convert tool. Takes about a minute to convert the albums over to FLAC.

Have any of the Technical rooms said anything about how a 3rd gen reyvateil establishes connection to the tower? Like, since metafalss is within range of ar tonelico, couldn't the first tower be set up as administrator for a reyvateil living at the second tower?

Not the first guy, but the reason people fussed about the PSN thing is because while the Xbox 360 version had the physical copy and limited edition extras, PS3 owners only had the PSN download, a 10 GB at that. This is actually because Sony America forced AkSys to make the PS3 version PSN only for whatever reason. AkSys will only tell you "we can't say" or "it's out of our hands", but most folks know the real reason.

That's where the butthurt came from. If it was both PSN and XBLA there would be a lot less fuss.

Question about the Lazy Pack, are they the english versions of the games or the undub?

I believe, but am no expert, is that it's the undub with a few english cutscenes. Battle scenes are nip, for the 5 minutes I've played it.

It's Japanese dub with English subtitles. The few cutscenes in the game (that last a few seconds anyway) are in English unless you patch them. In the options you can set it to English and receive dubbed man-Shurelia etc. if you want but that would just ruin your experience of the game, to be honest.

There hasn't, but I think your question can be answered with what's already known. The AT2 settei book says that IPDs were created basically by overwriting the spectrum gene in normal third generations to connect to Infel Phira instead of Ar tonelico. So, two things here: first, which Tower you're connected to is basically an attribute of your spectrum gene, and second, in general, yes, it's theoretically possible to do a switch like that. You have practical compatibility issues, though - a "normal" Reyvateil (or ATD/Ar tonelico Dependent, if you like) - would probably have limited effect using Infel Phira, since they wouldn't be able to use Pastalie. IIRC there's a technical data room where he talks about setting up emulation layers in song servers to e.g. make it possible for an ATD to use Pastalie.

It's also important to note that IPDs are a relatively small proportion of the population of Meta Falss. Again, from the AT2 settei book, "About 48% of all Reyvateils in Meta Falss [my copy says Sol Ciel, but that has to be a misprint] have the potential to become IPDs, but of those, only about 20% are IPDs." So, somewhat less than 10% of Meta Falss' Reyvateils are IPDs - the rest are connected to Ar tonelico.

Do you happen to have a link to the patch that undubs the cutscenes in AT1? I looked but could only find full ISOs and I don't really want to download the whole thing again. Otherwise I guess I can put up with the cutscenes if they're as few and short as you say.

By the way, the NISA press event either happened today or is supposed to happen tomorrow. We'll see what kind of announcements they make concerning Ar Tonelico, Neptune, Atelier, etc.

*sigh* So... I have to admit that I'm glad NISA finally got off their collective asses and announced 3 for the US, but... am I the only one more than a little disappointed that the projected date is so far out?
