The duel was a big metaphor for the fact that Shannon, Kanon and Beatrice are all one person, and they cannot succeed in their loves without first eliminating the other two. This doesn't necessarily match up with what's really going on the board in this game though. Neither does this have to match up with what's going on in a higher plane. Bernkastel and Lambdadelta don't have any bodies, the question of how they can exist in the meta world is just as silly as asking how Beatrice can revive in the meta world.

I posted this earlier this morning and I will admit I haven't gone through all the red in all the episodes to see if it works in all cases, but it could give one last bit of hope for ShKanon deniers like myself.

Jessica and Shannon or Kanon find the gold, Jessica becomes the head since Kinzo is dead. Genji immediately pledges himself to the new head. Jessica wants to finally escape the family and her position as the head, she decides that she is going to destroy the mansion and everyone in it, unless they can put their differences apart and work together to solve the epitath. Finally they bribe Nanjo by offering to pay for his sick Grandaughters operations.

The other servant, either Shannon or Kanon, disagrees with this choice and attempts to stop them. This servant dies shortly before the gameboard. For each game one of the servants is playing both parts to make the murders easier to achieve. This allows the Shannon/Kanon switching to take place and plays into the 16 person limit.

Episode one is probably best for finding the real cuplrit and accomplices. Everything seems to go according to plan with the epitath, once you get to 3 and 4 it seems other people start killing as well.

Something I found strange in episode 6. During the fight between Jessica and Kyrie, Kyrie suddenly started pulling out knowledge that she really shouldn't have known, even if we assume she did suddenly remember the previous games or some shit like that. How closed rooms relate to the game, how magic works and it's weakness, etc... all the sudden, she just started pulling this specific info about the game that's being played out of her ass.

I know it's a magic scene and overly specific things like that don't matter much in the long run... but it just seemed WEIRD to me.
