the caster will usually tell you whats wrong if it just shows the window then closes immediatly. Have you done everything the included README tells you such as putting MBcaster in the MBACwin folder? Makeing sure configcaster.ini is setup properly for your certain input device? For example if your useing a keyboard you have to go in and set player1's value to 255 I believe.

2. Make sure you can run MBAC normally (so try the multiplayer solo).

3. Make sure firewalls are off.

4. Make sure you don't press B (usually M on keyboards) when you're picking a character. This will cancel and return you to the menu.
