His (I'll just refer to her as "the artist") english is obviously restricted and he might've made a simple mistake in his sentence construction.

I don't understand this. If you believed in angels and demons, wouldn't you believe in God too? If so why would you have an angel protect you and not God?

If you believe that all angels can be commanded by humans, something that comes from the belief that angels have to listen to them since they are made in God's image, then what would you need protection at all for? They wouldn't be able to hurt you unless God let them, and if he let them, the other angels aren't going to protect you.

Are there people who believe only in Jewish angels and not Jewish God? So confusing.
