As a DotA player I can confirm that the community is pretty shitty. But every community has its good and bad sides. There are decent people that play dota, I for one just play to have fun with my friends while laughing at internet monkeys getting mad.

I quit DoTA a long time ago when there were TOO MUCH HEROES AND ITEMS.

But i really suck at DoTA

I was hoping Warcraft 3 would bring a bunch of long and detailed multiplayer "RPG" maps the way Starcraft did. Those were fucking awesome. However I was kind of disappointed, I guess the scripting was too complex and it took people a long time to learn. So I traded my key for a Lord of Destruction one and went back to playing D2 instead.

That map and caracter/skills was drawn from scratch, but items pretty much dota copy with touhou names.
Balance is....there no such thing, the goddamn move speed (deffault) ranges from 190 to 400+. The abilities ranges from "press to kill" to (cool effects, 2% slow for 1 second, 17 hours cooldown 50000 mana cost). Well it still fun to play I guess.
They playing in Malaysia Events Room, while there are some nice people from /jp/, some of them is pretty much "OLOLOLOLO XD HE USING "item name"
ON YUKARI". So, proceed with caution.

while some heroes have pretty boring and generic skills, others have freaking nice stuff that i'd love to see in dota, like murasa and pacthouli, murasa has "hook" (with an anchor) and a aoe imba disable that's really cool. patchouli has firewall that's impossible to walk thru, you'll get killed if you try too much, and some badass nukes basically. reisen is like a mix between sniper and phantom lancer.
