Indeed, it is a mystery. She's got oversized red fox tails, which isn't really anything odd since it goes with the artistic style, but she's also got these fennec ears that make no sense in the setting. Second she's not just blonde but all golden all over, meaning she would be a heavenly fox and not a "plain" fox demon. Or maybe it's just part of the colour scheme, which ruins the whole idea of a human disguise (it the disguise wasn't already rendered useless by the ears and tail).

The only thing I know for sure is despite how Omachi's birthplace is mentioned in game, trying to find a legendary basis for her may have been a wasted effort.
The brainstorming theory is more likely, simply that the character designer put together a number of unrelated traits that would make for an attractive combination. Which leads me to believe the shape of Omachi seen in the game isn't really her "natural" humanoid form at all, but one she has thought up to appeal to the fantasies of the kitsune's favourite prey.
