I have faith in Battler Ushiromiya. He kicked the shit out of the haters in episode 5, and he managed to revive Beatrice completely in episode 6. If you think he's going to fail to save his family, you haven't been reading the same Umineko I have.

He did unsuccessfully revive beatrice, because she split into two and battler has to find a way to put back together!

Got that for you.

Ah, Bernkastel is just going to troll George, Jessica, Natsuhi, and everyone else who Shannon associates with. In the end they'll be able to forgive Shannon and all will be saved. Bernkastel has a rather pathetic track record at beating Battler and his golden witch.

Pretty much. In their defense, it holds the most weight, but that's either because we as fans have missed something, or Ryukishi is terribad at this whole story thing, which is still very possible.

Either way, I would be very shocked if Shannon was the culprit, even with all the evidence. Hell, the evidence only makes me believe more that she isn't the final boss.

I don't mind Shkannon. Once you add the "trice," shit gets messy.

>Ryuukishi: That’s right. Her character shares many traits that were maliciously extracted from those held by great detectives. With sealing the doors and the like, she is unlike Battler in that she’s a hard worker, or maybe you could say she puts a lot of effort into her plans…… People vary on whether they like or dislike Erika. While Battler’s enemies before now have specialized in confusing him, Erika comes at him from the exact opposite direction, and I think this leads to a different kind of battle than the ones we’ve seen so far. I hope this becomes a new light to shine on the riddle-filled world of Umineko. It seems that some of our users have wondered “Did he use her as a representative of users who write malicious theories?”, but I leave such interpretations up to you. Umineko’s focus on battles every time is part of the world’s layout, so we must have a character who stands in clear opposition to Battler. So, if Erika had been a normal person, perhaps the battle and the tale wouldn’t have become so exciting. Though I think Erika herself is just bad at choosing her words and not really such a bad person.
If anyone can confirm whether it's the source or not, because I can't read Japanese.

This, it's hard to stomach such a boring character being the answer. Takano was a decent antagonist because she was so fucking deliciously batshit and worked behind the scenes so well to cause the tragedies, I just do not see the last part with Shannon. She seems pretty damned stupid to me.

>> No.5474902

>>5474834
The problem is that I've never seen this interview where "Erika is a good girl", and It must be the same for most people. So either it does not exist, either without the context the meaning could be a LOT different, so it wouldn't be a "OMG A LIE".

>>Either way, I would be very shocked if Shannon was the culprit, even with all the evidence. Hell, the evidence only makes me believe more that she isn't the final boss.

Basically even if Shkannon is true, and I really don't think so, it is highly improbable that she is the culprit.
Either way we ARE missing something.
Even if Shkannon is true, either Shkannon was land of the golden witch, an was not needed to solve the mystery, so, try again, either Shkannon was not land of the golden witch, and then we still have problems this part, which is supposed to be important.
Even if Shkannon WAS true, and it is not, it would not solve anything if you don't go " NO RYUKISHI LIED".

If George ends up being the culprit, Ryukishi is going to have to pull some major strings in the series to make it work and not be immensely lame. George will have to reveal that he was in charge of fucking everything or something for it to be decent. Something crazy. Or someone can just give him a chainsaw and Battler can walk in on George dismembering someone, either one really works.

Anyway yes, courts work this way. At least, they have to keep in mind that even if their verdict looks absolutely perfect, there is a chance that they are completely wrong because of a missing factor. It is a part of their job.

Yes, there is no " THIS is the truth / THIS is wrong." Even in the real world.
And Ryukishi said that if he wanted to, he could use this in higurashi, right now. So there is no reason for it not working in umineko.
