Do you just... hate dusting? I don't see how this makes tem a worthwhile purchase unless you're seriously running low on space.

Lucky Star is the greatest piece of art to come out of Japan, second only to loli doujinshi.

opening them destroys resell value?
I really wonder if anyone actually considers reselling their figs while buying them, though

Yeah, but you don't destroy any original packaging taking a PVC out of it's box. They make them so they can be repackaged. So as long as you don't mess them up what's the problem?

Some that I figure might become rare I buy 2 of to resell on ebay. I've ended up paying off the whole price this way most of the time I've done it.

Not true! As long as you slowly peel the package seals and keep all the twist-ties and plastic bumpers you can return them to MIB glory. You just have to be gentle.

>> No.5437062

I'm sure you could make it appear unopened. Just seal it back up, glue it, and shrink wrap it if you have to.

Let's see. Uhh. 60+ Japanese PS2 games, 20+ Japanese 360 games, and about 12 figures. Yeah, totally new to collecting.

>>5436899

Anything you purchase immediately loses resell value unless in very limited print, so buying a figure and keeping them in their box seems wasteful, unless the box is really nice. I had my Alter Gwendolyn in the box for over 6 months, it now sits besides my HDTV.

I don't understand why you would try to import a figure from Japan, and then expect to make a profit out of it. The shipping from Japan would eat the cost of any profit you make.

ship by SAL and it's usually around $10 which isn't a very large margin

Buying a figure and not displaying it is like buying a TV and not watching it.

Kill yourself.

>> No.5438633

Nope. I collect. Have done for years. I used to keep a bunch of things in boxes and then realised there was no point. Actually, I still have a lot of things in their boxes, but that's cos I have no room for them.
