Okuu is smart and dumb at the same time. She can run a nuclear reactor, but is probably confused by really simple tasks unrelated to it.

That's like autism, you can do a specific task but retarded at everything else. Oh wait.

I've always thought of Okuu as being smart but having some mental and/or social disability.

A childhood friend of mine has autism. When he was younger his mother took him to some psychologist to be evaluated. They tested him in multiple areas and rated him between 1 and 100. He scored 99 in mathematics and 10 in reading. He's about to attend Stanford University but it still takes him like 4 hours to read what most of us could do in 1.

That's my cool story for today.

So we got an autistic and two Aspies (Alice and Patchy). We could go through each Touhou and assign them a mental disorder, but then this wouldn't be an Okuu thread.

She radiates pure love, so we should focus on that.

I think Okuu has Bipolar Disorder. She seems like the type to get overly excited and be extremely active (or hyperactive), but also get easily distracted. She seems to have a very high self-esteem, sense of self-importance (wants to conquer the world), but poor judgmental skills, which are all qualities of Bipolar Disorder. Her thought process also changes abruptly (forgetting what she was just doing, then all the sudden remembering).

Okuu might be a savant. Or she's just naturally stupid but swallowing a god gave her enough knowledge to utilize her powers.

>> No.5406009

That just sounds like an example of one type of normal human personality, not really a disorder.

>> No.5406024

The reason they say that is because people who are bipolar supposedly shift from one type of extreme emotion to another so randomly and perhaps rapidly, that they are always ruled by their emotional state, thus impeding their ability to make rational judgments.
