I would have considered going, but I spent all my money on MGS: Peace Walker stuff, a Japanese PSN Card for Project Diva Dreamy Theater, a $20 PSN card for The Gundemonium Collection, Tears to Tiara Limited Edition, and 3D Dot Game Heroes. I dunno, it's hard to generalize people because everyone has excuses, unique "scenarios" and thinks they're special little flowers. For instance, I never thought I'd go to a convention, but some online "friends" (We played an MMO together) dragged me to Otakon once. And by dragged, I mean I live in So Cal, so that's quite trip for someone who never leaves the house. Surprising too, because they were all pretty normal people; and in comes some West Coast hikki who knows more about weaboo shit than they do, and THEY'RE the ones who wanted to go.

I guess the moral of the story is that it takes all kinds of people to make up a con, regardless if they're the general stereotype or not. I suppose even if a shut-in goes to one, it doesn't mean they enjoy going for the same reasons as other people. I actually got the most enjoyment out of the trip just playing games in the hotel room with them. They're the ones who wanted to go watch miscellaneous dubbed shit I already watch 3 years prior.

Well, I live about 20 minutes away so I don't have to spend anything for hotels. I do however have to pay the extortion prices for parking every day, food at-con, and the usual other things aside from hotels everyone has to pay for.
