IN is probably the easiest touhou game...at least it's definitely the easiest normal mode.
Easy mode is so easy that...well, y'know.
You can basically deathbomb your way through eirin/kaguya (I had like 5 lives and 4 bombs because reisen and marisa are easy as hell) - and deathbombs take 2 bombs in IN, so bombs - use them.

I'm trying to make all touhou games 1CC normal starting from EoSD but I can't really beat remilia .__.

It's pretty easy to get to stage 6 without losing a single life on normal.

It really isn't that bad once you've got experience. My guess is that you're concentrating on the little stars, and screwing up getting through the big stars. Do it this way, dodge little stars, sit still as big stars work towards you. Move slightly to get through them, watch the little stars again. Repeat until done.

Got to Kaguya on normal for the first time ever with 3 lives left having played out of my skin then went on to get predictably reamed since I'd not seen any of her spellcards on normal before. I still had a life left for her final card, but then proceeded to play like a retard and get myself killed even though I had 3 bombs to save myself with when needed, fuck this shit.

Needed a break from PCB I can finally get through Prismrivers/Youmu only losing a life or two but I was getting so impatient/careless I was actually dying to Chen so I quit in disgust.

I actually hate Chen and Alice more than Youmu and Yuyuko (sans PCB and RB. )

Youmu and Yuyuko have like 7-8 patterns total that you'll capture every single time without effort. Chen and Alice make you panic with every card.

Funny thing is for me the only reason I 1cc PCB the first time was because of Chen. She killed me twice on the same spellcard but I said fuck it and kept going. That was the run I FINALLY did a clean run of stage 4 (the stage thats pretty much the make or break stage in any of the series for me). I practiced Youmu and Yuyuko (the game wasn't clean so I got stage 6 for free) so much that it was easy street after that.

Fuck time. Fuck phantom gauge. You want to 1cc, not to score. They don't matter.
Focus when YOU need to, not when the PG tells you to.
Generally, you want to leave focus only when:

1.) The familiars make annoying patterns and you want them dead (Mystia, for example).
2.) Escaping fast bullets, running for gaps (Reisen).

Also, hoard point items. Every extend you get means at least
one unexpected deathbomb OR three expected, and a death.

I've 1cc'd all of the Windows games on Lunatic. Finally got UFO about a week ago.

My goal is only to 1cc normal mode on every touhou game. That's a pretty attainable goal. All I've got left is SA, UFO, and the pc 98 games.

EoSD and the PC-98 games are better for beginners because you don't stare at your hitbox like a retard the whole time. At least that's how it was for me. Started with IN and PCB, then gave up and 1cc'd EoSD and Lotus Land Story. Then I could do the others without much trouble afterwards.

Really? EoSD was the first one I beat on normal mode, but I think thats because it made me. With PCB and IN beating easy mode was all you needed to do for extra stage, but EoSD easy mode didn't even have a stage six.

When you say you can 1cc a certain Touhou game on x difficulty, what do you mean by that? Do you just 1cc with one character, every character, or every character and every shot type before you say you're able to 1cc it?
