That was probably me. I live about 40 minutes from manhattan, so I go in every once in a while. I would definitely go in to see her, but only if she's performing. If she's just presenting or doing advertising, I don't think it's worth it (I'm not that big of a kago fan). Seems like she's set up camp in nyc though, so I'm sure I'll get a couple chances to see her sing.

I got into jpop while randomly clicking links on video sites, I've traveled to Japan, and I study the language casually. Still, I feel like I have to be careful who I tell, since they'll either think it's weird, because of all the wacky-japanese stereotypes, or they'll want to talk about their favorite anime, sushi, fighting robots, whatever. I went last July for the entire month with some friends. We went to Tokyo for about a week, but stayed in Sapporo for most of the time, since we knew some people who live just outside the city. The people I were with weren't into jpop, and the reaction I got when I showed them a morning musume song was "oh...", so I figured they wouldn't want to be dragged to a concert, besides, we were always busy, and I wasn't sure when/where a concert would be.

I do remember seeing yaguchi mari a couple times on tv though, which I thought was kinda cool to be watching it on a normal tv instead of through the internet lol

MIT and other prestigious institutions, who were the pioneers of computers (see: the integrated circuit) themselves, had long since been making games like Spacewars! (1969) and such. I am an anon who likes to take it easy and enjoys giving credit where credit is due, and Nintendo is certainly too be mentioned in the realm of vidya games. But in the same vein, I must also consider those who came before who made such things as little blips of light on the screen possible for them to make games so enjoyable that we willing waste our lives playing them.
