That's how every game is supposed to be. The early stages of a game are ALWAYS easy compared to the rest. Even if the game is damn near impossible, the first stages will only be slightly hellish before getting into frustratingly difficult.

I would just ask for a slightly more gentle difficulty curve instead of a huge spike after stage 3. Either make the later levels easier or the beginning levels harder...preferably the latter.
