On the subject of R-Type:

The pilot's body girl (about age 14 years time the body)
23-year-old female juvenile were made fixed.
She was directly linked to the aircraft being used as a biological computer,
Rashii (The military has denied.)

>Nobody cares tier : Project Silpheed

God, was Project Silpheed awful. Anyone who considers Wario Land and Stretch Panic to be Treasure's most egregious screw-ups should definitely give this game a spin and take note on how not to make a shmup.
I never understood why there were two weapon buttons when one would have sufficed. And speaking of weapons, the selection was so redundant and useless. I don't think I've ever used more than three different types of weapon during my playthroughs.
Also, if I remember correctly in the first level you could leech points indefinitely by shooting at indestructible buildings. I wonder if it was a glitch or deliberate.

I know that the Wiseman series of R's uses real Humans, as it says that they are pretty much catatonic after piloting and have specially made cockpits for others to take them out of.

What losers, I mean, really. All it is is wiggling the joystick to control the shots. Is it really that difficult for them?

>> No.5264492

The Wiseman series had it's controls hooked up into their brains and forced them to experience terrifying hallucinations to cause more damage.

The discription of the Wiseman ship "Sweet Memories" reads as such:
"The cheerful name contrasts the sinister rumor
about this craft. The Cyber Connector mental
control interface has been greatly improved.

Not only brain waves, but life energy of the pilot
is converted into Wave energy. It is said
that the Wave Cannon emissions are the
nightmares that the pilot is experiencing."

The last ship in the Wiseman series as so fucking strong that it's illegal to use; you can't tell the difference between it's weapon and natural disasters.

Seriously, the R-type fighters' descriptions paint a pretty vivid picture of how desperate Humans have gotten in their war against the Bydo. The Bydo as they are in the games evolved themselves while sealed off in that other dimension. Humanity only found a way to fight them by creating the Forces from Bydo cells.

Also, The Bydo were created in the 26th century and came from their pocket dimension to attack Earth in the 23rd century, before humanity created them.

>> No.5271425

The Bydo exhibit properties of both a particle and a wave. Destroying their physical form with conventional weapons will not completely eliminate them. (Think, something as simple as a sound wave could be enough for them to take over.)

The Bydo core of the force is used as a catalyst to convert the weapons of the R-series fighters into forms capable of eradicating the Bydo.
