Yes sir...and if I had a CD-ROM I would most certainly load it at this point... however I am installing from the megaupload link in this post. I tried loading the IMG file at this point and did not get anywhere.

Can this be fixed? i'm downloading the game right now... i'm using windows 7 btw.

It is asking you to insert the data disk. I don't know which copy you downloaded, nor have I yet tried installing it myself, but I'm guessing there are 2 or more different discs, and you need to switch from one to the other.

Yeah, there's the CCD and the IMG files in the megaupload link. Both launch installers. I've tried installing with CCD and then loading the IMG at the CD-ROM prompt and I've tried installing with the IMG and then loading the CCD at the prompt and neither one of them completes the installation.

By the way, before I incur the "Support the Eroge Industry" wrath let me make it clear that I always do. I'm just checking the game out to see if it's worth shelling out $100+ for the import.

I downloaded the game as a torrent some time ago.

Though I remember having to switch CDs at some point during the installation, there wasn't any real issue.

Are you sure you downloaded both parts?

What's the size of the CCD and IMG files?

You don't even need to install. Just extract the files to a directory of your choice and replace the EXE with either

What? When I extract the files I get an IMG, CCD, cue, bin, and a sub file. The exe can't be extracted from the IMG or the CCD. It's created upon installation.

OK, after fucking with this thing all day I got it installed.

1. Mount CCD.
2. Upon prompt, mount the .cue file.
3. 2nd prompt, mount the IMG file.
4. Play the game, presumably using the "hacked .exe file". Which is what I am doing.

NOW. I extracted the Alpha release and found a slew of .csv files. Of course copying them to the game directory doesn't work. That shit must be for the fucking nubsauces.

My question is now this... How do you go about applying the alpha release to the game? Throw me a frickin' bone here.

OK, you just made me read through thread after thread of "Fuck Off, Cudder" and "Borka borka bork" only to find NOTHING regarding the actual installation of the english patch, which apparently was put together by the fucking Hardy Boys because it's a fucking mystery as to why someone would over-complicate something so unnecessarily. I am now under the impression that this is all an elaborate troll and that there is actually no working patch for this game. Which was my initial impression when I first saw this thread and couldn't believe that /jp/ would ever bother to get together to do something productive.
