IMO

Beatrice is Manon
Manon traded places with Kanon
Pony theory is probably more or less correct. Manon being Maria actually fills in some holes, like why Kinzo didn't want Maria called that, who wrote the letters, etc.

Beatrice isn't even her real original of course. She was probably called Maria to start with.

Doesn't violate Knox's rules because: Beatrice is not the culript. The whole point of the game(well part of it) is for Battler to be able to prove she didn't do it. Something has deteremined her as the culprit(history I guess, or more likely Super Hanyuu) when it is not in fact true, and she is forced to play along with it.

If Battler can prove she didn't do it; destroy "The illusion of the witch"; in reality she won't die or be destroyed but be free from the lie that she caused the murders on Rokkenjima. Similar to the wordplace Au Au used as to whether Beatrice could be revived; "the witch of the forest" that killed all those people would die; but real life Beatrice and the actual soul of Meta Beatrice would not.

That's the real reason Beatrice is trapped in the "eternal game" with Battler. Beatrice is a good witch; but is forced to play out the role of the murderer in fantasy side. Battler said himself that he only wanted to disprove witches as part of the events of the game - which is exactly what Beatrice wants. If Battler denies/destroys "Fantasy side" for the Rokkenjima murders; then Beatrice can continue to exist but not as the "evil" Beatrice.

I want not to like that throey, but it kinda makes sense...

I think what the OP is saying

>Beatrice is not the culprit
>Point of game is to get Battler to prove that Beatrice didn't do it by denying fantasy side, as real life Beatrice couldn't feasibly have done those murders
>Since Battler is now only trying to disprove fantasy side for the games; Beatrice won't disappear(again) either; she'll just disappear from the events of Rokkenjima like she/Kinzo did in the flashbacks with Natsuhi.

I dunno, sounds pretty solid to me.

Just a point; when nearly all the Umineko haters talk like massive tools it doesn't help their case that their taste is better.
