I read Umineko for the Erika;-; and Kinzo parts

>> No.5165822

I think the whole meta-fiction part of Umineko is interesting, though R07 doesn't develop it very well.
But the whole mystery is pure shit, especially since the whole cross-dressing DID shit is confirming itself.
If it's revealed to be true, I don't see how anyone could defend this part of Umineko.

Umineko's plot would be good if R07 would stop introducing new characters every episode. Seriously, it was cute the first few times but now it's just stupid.

I actually knew about that specific rule from forever ago--it was in the intro to Asimov's trilogy about a detective in the future with robots. He was talking about how it wasn't really possible to write a good detective story because you could pull whatever shit you want out of your ass whenever you want.

There are no brain parasites in the original Higurashi. Hinamizawa Syndrome is a neurological disease triggered by stress hormones.

>> No.5168030

I've given up on the mystery, I know it will not be intellectually satisfying, because this story isn't actually a mystery.

I just want Battler and Jessica to fuck, my expectations have been truncated to just that.

I think that makes even less sense...

well, looking at ep4, we know that Beatrice wanted someone to solve it (ep5 we know its Battler, but since we are going before the commandments). Since someone has to solve it, and its not Nanjo (hes only a guest and has not shown any interest in the riddle), then it can not be a obscure medical condition. Higurashi had the excuse that Irie was obviously on at least Rika/Satako's side, Nanjo...we don't know for sure. Besides, Ryukishi said it was supposed to be a mystery, and following the actual Knox Commandments (not the in game one) no China Man can be the murderer. This has been thrown around as meaning "HURR DURR< THEN IT WAS BEATRICE< WHO"S ITALIAN", forgetting that the definition of Chinaman at the time was someone who was obviously evil/outside of the storyline/a clear mastermind. In otherwords, Umineko cannot be Higurashi because it cannot have a Takano. Takano was outside the storyline (I've only watched the anime/up to US manga/1st VN), very obviously evil (loved Oyoshiro-Sama, wanted to be a god), and a clear mastermind (gave Rena the Pandora's Box). Because this is not Higurashi, it cannot have Higurashi's plot premise. Contrapositive law.

if solving the riddle let you into Kowadorian (or whatever the secret mansion is called), would THAT be anticlimatic, considering people has been inside of it in EP4?

>implying they actually were there and not just lied over the phone
>implying it was Kuwadorian and not just random basement
Seriously, do you believe that scene of their escape? It was made to clear all doubts about reliability of their story.
