When a character has an ability that has the potential to be severely broken, it's usually not a good idea of the author to invoke it liberally. ZUN isn't exactly a Nobel prize candidate when it comes to writing a good story, but even he knows that.

Actually, i think he's a really good literate worker. I've read all his series and comics, and archives. I think he did a very good job at them, especially considering that at the same time, he was building a game and and music and whatnot. Yes. If you already read the book, don't watch the movie. While it is good and gives probably the best reaction face ever towards the end, the fact that Kubrick read the version of the book with the last chapter cut out is REALLY apparent...that one chapter is that important and completely changes how the end works, and Kubrick was actually a bit mad that he made what could be considered an incomplete adaptation.
