It's ok in America?

What a silly nation.

>> No.5146639

It's unheard of in Canada as well; I can't imagine wearing shoes inside your home, the outside world is dirty.

>> No.5146634

Americans have the common sense not to step in dogshit.

Only the South does that.

Inbred morons.

Indoor slippers or house shoes then? There is a lot of dirt on sidewalks and roads and in buildings and everywhere you'd be in public.

>> No.5146662

Canadafag here. I've never worn shoes in any house further than the foyer or entryway.

Same here, but my mother is Chinese and we live in a predominantly Chinese neighbourhood. It might have something to do with that, or perhaps nothing.

>> No.5146680

Canadafag here, if the weather outside is wet(see winter) and muddy I take my shoes of as to not dirty the house. When everything is clean and dry I wear them inside, but end up taking them off later as they make my feet hot.

Tl;dr Depends on the weather

>> No.5146682

>>5146671

Nah, it's Canadian culture as a whole, we just don't wear shoes inside. Americans are unique in that respect.

I wear shoes inside and I live in Canada. It's just how you are raised but who cares?

>> No.5146718

If it's your house, then wear whatever the fuck you want to in it. If it's someone else's house, then try and respect their custom.

People that whine about Americans deciding to wear shoes in their own homes are just that: whiny, self-righteous assholes. We don't care if you shit in your mud huts or not, as long as you stay in your own countries.

I use slippers often, but sometimes after I come back home I just don't feel like changing.

And wearing shoes is usually more warm than slippers anyway.

>> No.5146772

>>5146628

Personally, I believe this is bullshit... I grew up wearing shoes in the house only because my parents were very old fashioned and didn't mind tracking mud directly into the house. All of my friends, and I do mean all of them were required to remove their shoes in their houses, and for cleanliness sake, I started doing the same thing as an adult. I haven't worn my shoes in the house in probably 15 years.
