What's with the "anti-contribution" rhetoric in this thread? The whole point of contributing is to benefit yourself. Let me elaborate. By contributing links, media, or ideals you're creating an environment where giving is the norm. It's the same reason we use proper grammar. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

You also benefit from the training you receive when you translate doujinshis, post your drawings in OC threads, or code your own doujin soft.

I contribute by doing my best to uphold Hiroyuki's ideals of anonymous posting by:

1. Not shitposting.
2. Not trolling.
3. Providing thoughtful and/or helpful responses to threads relevant to my interests.
4. If I feel the need to add a useless comment to a thread, or otherwise post in it without actively advancing the conversation (such as appending a post I just made, or fixing a typo) I use sage so as not to pollute the front page with my nonsense.
5. I only use a tripcode or means of self-identification within a given thread where it is appropriate to do so. (Example: opening a thread with a question, and then identifying myself as the OP to respond to people answering. A tripcode used in that thread will be discarded once the thread is concluded.)
6. If I see something I created or posted being reposted by other users, I take pride in the fact that the community is enjoying my work, but continue to post anonymously and do not attempt to claim personal credit or glory for the work, as it belongs to the community.
