Yeah I'm pretty sure I bench way less than even 200, but I train almost exclusively with body-weight exercises since thats all you will have to worry about in recruit training.

Being able to do ~20 pullups > benching xxx as far as marines are concerned.

As for cardio, I can say from experience that you just have to work on it. If you have 4-5 months to work on it you will get there in no time, It only took me 2 months to get from god-awful to being able to run 3 miles. I'm gonna assume you can't be any worse off then I was, I used to get terrible side cramps after only a quarter mile.

Anyone that cannot bench 300 pounds does not belong on /jp/.

I was one of the best distance runners in middle school track. Then I went to one of the academically best high schools in the nation. The track team there was full of nerds who took three or four AP classes each. At that time I took none. I got second to last in every race. The best of them got 3:50 mile times, while my PR was 5:45. I became so depressed that I quit track. I became completely out of shape, began taking 6 AP classes, and buried myself in textbooks to make myself feel better. I became pretty much the smartest in the school, and I went to Stanford after graduation.

Well my whole point was that how much weight you can bench is pointless to joining the military, its body-weight exercises and cardio. I don't know how much I CAN lift since I haven't tried, but I know its less then 200, which is pretty pathetic. At least 50% of the guys in my group couldn't lift that much either.
