They actually need to hack the software to insert the translation. If you see how the game plays you'd understand why, the choice system operates in a way where the choices disappear in a few seconds giving the player little time. That plus the size+animations makes for a generally difficult VN to tackle.

I ask this because I'm interested in buying some eroge, but the ones I'm interested in aren't showing up in the search, so I'm wondering if they just don't have it listed or if they don't sell them.

Innocent Grey just has really short print runs for the box editions of their games, it seems. I had the same problem as you when I went to get KnS and eventually had to buy it used. I got lucky, too - the place I finally got it from pulled it out of a pile of waiting-to-be-priced games for me after I asked for it, and I think I got it for 7000 yen or so - definitely a lot less than original price. Looseboy is known for his ideas and direction rather than his actual quality of writing, which is pretty much all that game showed off from him. Both routes in NatsuShibi are very good. To tell you the truth, I didn't think Kanoha's route really felt very Looseboy-ish at all, but it was still awesome.
