I was dissapointed by how much the movies could have been.

In particular the nasu speak could have been translated into proper sentences.

First movie : Too much crap about flying that made little sense. Fight scene was pathetic and essentially consisted of "lawl i stand here and let you stab me".

Second movie : Decent background chapter.

Third movie : Theres a very lame looking scene where Shiki runs off the bridge as Fujino tries to twist her arm. That scene just looks BAD. The fight in particular was pretty short and honestly not that impressive.

Fourth movie : Short, more background, somewhat decent, but could have had more things added.

Fifth movie : Zombie scene was very bad quality, too much nasu speak about spirals, cornelius alba did jack shit and looked incredibly lame since all he did was beat up a schoolboy and laugh/scream a lot. Actual fight scene with Araya was too short, tentacles were un-necessary.

Sixth movie : Too much shit left unexplained, particularly with how they left out how "word of god" got stabbed to death.

Seventh movie : Fight scenes were lacking again, too much bullshit like Lio stabbing Mikiya and him not dying, etc.

Was I the only one who thought 7 was horrible? It had the worst LOLNASU writing out of all his works. 80% of the movie was arguing about semantics for fucks sakes.

Drug dealing lady in 7 was underused.

Although I agree that it bogged down the movies horribly, what could've been lots of demon-hunting asskicking is interrupted by a lot of explanation that wastes time and makes little sense. Really, I loved it up to and including 6 movie, it had its shortcomings but it was good and delivered what was expected. But 7... was just sad. I never thought Nasu was a good or mature writer, but that was just a new low for him. You could cut down 7 to 20 minutes length and not lose anything worthwhile.
At least the ending slightly made up for it.
