Music is easier to steal from than art. Also, I want to like a lot more of his music, but his composition style is often just too spastic for my tastes. Enjoy many of the fan arrangements though.

It takes getting used to, for sure. ZUN isn't good at making his music sound good. He's done it before, so I'm guessing he just genuinely likes the sound of those horns and his psycho drum patterns.

Doubt it. The reason the characters are female is not because ZUN likes little girls, but rather because ZUN likes frilly dresses. There's really no equivalent of frilly dresses for male characters. If you want a ton of male characters dressed in extravagant, silly ways, you're going to have serious problems unless you just make them all traps, in which case the exercise was pointless.
