actually OP as i recall there is a much better reason for what shiki's father did than is let on by that statement. fairly certain she either didn't know the whole story herself, maybe she cbf explaining it.

but yeah there were factors that lead to that decision.

Honestly in the far side route only Hisui's route was really good and that's only for the twist at the end, it wasn't perfect either with Shiki staying in a bed for most of the route.
Akiha's is good for the pairing but it was pretty uneventful, the ending wasn't bad but it really felt like it lacked something.
Kohaku's route is really disjointed and the main conflict isn't that interesting since you already know all the secrets, still it has 2-3 scenes like the coffee one or the last fight.

The coffee scene in Kohaku's route was fucking grand. Drinking, Dreaming Moon was kind of a letdown as far as a follow-up to it, at least until right before the end.

But yeah. Coffee scene, Welcome Party (Kohaku's route), and telling Akiha the truth about where the fuck you were over the weekend are my favorite scenes in the game.
Oh, and waking up the morning after the Len dream, if you choose Hisui for it.

Then you go through Ciel route because someone said you should do so
Then you took Akiha because it felt natural and the ending crushed you
Then after you pick yourself up, you finally decide to play the final route, which just happens to break you, only to reveal that there is one more to go.
And Kohaku route finally makes you happy and the happiness soothes the wounds.

The problem with Kohaku's route is that halfway through you wish you could go after Akiha because Akiha is fucking hot as hell in Kohaku's route.

Seriously, Akiha drinks you under the table, she goes out and fucking annihilates Roa without breaking a sweat, and then tries to make sweet love to Shiki without his consent and threatens to kill him when he refuses.

God damn, Akiha, how come you couldn't do that in your own route? And how come there wasn't an option to drop Kohaku for you after that? Oh, Akiha, I want to ride your demon-cock so badly!
