In Zero Gilgamesh never dominated Lancelot, without Ea Gilgamesh would lose. It was shown, yes KoGil had a limit at shooting how many he wants in ataraxia. But KoGil states that old Gil can probably fire 100+ weapons at the same time.

I would also say that F/Z is superior, much perhaps due to the superior writing I guess.

I don't think that they should be copared to eachother that much though, they are barely even the same genre if oyu ask me.

F/Z is perhaps what most people thought F/SN would be only with Nitro+'s writing.
F/SN however is left with mostly nothing other than the what was left behind, all the "awesome people from all over the world" met their end in F/Z, and as F/SN's heavens feel started prematurely before their successors were ready (the reason for why f/sn is mostly women and children).
Shirou didn't want to participate in the war, he just didn't want the wrong people to win, thus he chose to participate anyway, though still with no priority to win.
He took a passive role confident in that the war couldn't end with him still alive, not being able to win because of it.
Archer's priorities didn't lie in the war itself.
Kotomine wasn't directly interested in winning, he was more interested in what could come of it.
Iliya could have won the war easily, though Iliya isn't something that would be considered normal and had interests in other things.
Lancer's master is decieved and backstabbed by one of the few who still actually know stuff, and he didn't have an interest in winning normally either way.
Assassin's master becomes a mountain.
Caster and her master may very well be the only ones with a real interest to win the war normally, and even though she is close to winning twice, she has too much shit on her hands and fails in the routes, once because she didn't consider the possibility of an eight servant, once because she couldn't judge her allies properly and lastly because she wasn't expecting the existance of another Assassin not the one she summoned.
In short she simply fails.

Zouken together with Kotomine, is one of the two who (three with Archer) who actually know of the true nature of the war and one of the few with real skill, he like the others who know of the war's true nature has no interest in winning normally thus he doesn't make a move at all except in HF.

So F/SN is filled with unprepeared, unskilled masters and masters who has no interest in winning the war normally and F/SN is in fact not about the war, it is more about how the war is not how it is supposed to be and how the war affects the participants who are in it.

F/Z is filled with the most skilled and suited Masters the different orginizations and families has to offer coupled with legendary heroes supporting them.

F/Z is real action
F/SN is Romance with fantasy elements and a tad flavour of action to it
Take it for what it is, both works can deliver though they don't aim for the same thing.

UBW is in a way a typical teen-age romance with fantasy.
