Okay /jp/, I have a question...

I've never played the Touhou fighting games. I figured I'd just start at Hisoutensoku, however it appears to unlock all the characters, I need to have SWR. That being said, I read something about how decks and other unlocks will not carry over and I was wondering how important all of this would be if I wanted to enjoy the game to its fullest.

tl;dr, I've never played any of the Touhou fighting games. Which one should I start with?

Fully install SWR with a completed save file or something.

Install UNL on top of it, pointing the config file to the proper .exe. Install a save file, if this even matters. I didn't. I play it fine.

You'll want to play both SWR and UNL. Yeah, it's tedious, but UNL 1.10 is the current version, and almost every version has some sort of game changing tweak to some characters.

Get SWR, download the All Unlocked/4 of each Card patches on the SWR wiki, then get UNL, the 1.10 patch, the English translations, and edit the config file to transfer all the data from SWR to it so you'll have the entire roster and all the cards for the original characters (not sure if there's one for the UNL ones, but I'm pretty sure it's on the wiki too). After that's all said and done, you can start playing us on /jp/ to whip your ass into semi-shape.
