I agree on Sora's route, only because I played it right after Tsugumin's and it's 90% the same, though. Also I never liked Sora much. And yeah, Tsugumin's was the best of the initial routes in my opinion. I liked Sara's too, though.

What a coincidence. I just ate a double down mere minutes ago because it reminded me of Ever 17. Not getting it again though. Not worth $5 in my opinion.

I also found Sora pretty boring. As for Ever 17 as a whole, I really liked it, especially how all the routes are connected in Coco's path. Although I have to agree that slogging through every single route just to get to the end is tedious, I think you get the biggest impact seeing how it all connects.

Unrelated but in that one scene where takashi is sleeping never seems to let me skip it, I also get one or two new lines. Once he would say "I'm comming" or "You is so flat, so flat" or just nonsense. It seems random.

Pretty much like what you said. Coco's route is the only truly great one. The other's weren't bad but weren't that good either. I can't think of Ever17 as the masterpiece most others do when only one of the five routes really deserves it.

It would have been better if there was a point.
The build up to Coco's route gave me the impression that their was going to be some kind of crazy plot exposure and there was but... it was only plot exposure.
You find out have everything works bad ends are reneged and it ends...
It felt like there was no meaning to all the cryptic things that were going on for the rest of the story. You never find out why the 2017 collapse happened. You never receive any insight into why they created TB. The entire Leiblich corporation is an empty plot device of an enemy. There's no message; there's no meaning when you've completed the story, just exposure.

Oh and I raged like a motherfucker when they had Kuranari slobbing over Coco at the end while she was obviously taken by Mr. 4th dimensional being and Kuranari could have been paired with Yuibeseiharukana who he spent 17 years planning the 2034 scenario with. At least make your good endings good KID.

I thought it was a pretty huge point that it at least lenghtened the live by a lot.

I just finished the Coco route about two days ago. It was incredibly awesome, but there were a few things that annoyed me. The first was how Takeshi suddenly came BACK TO LIFE to swim all the way to IBF. I mean, that's just a Deus ex machina right there. For that matter it was also annoying when Hokuto/Blick Winkel just SANK 300 SOMETHING FEET TO THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN AND was PERFETLY FINE afterwords.

On a more technical note, how exactly did the "building a new LeMU in 2034" plan work out? It's pretty much predicated on BL taking the Kid's perspective, or else he would have noticed something's up. So how did they know that he would choose to use the Kid as his lens?

1. Stupider things have happened in more 'realistic' VNs to people who weren't artificially immortal. If you couldn't suspend your disbelief for that but for a lot of the other things in the game, then the problem is yours.
