Not at all. For starters, my walls are complely clean of posters and wallpapers, I never bought an anime figurine, I only have one monitor hooked up to my PC, I don't drink energy drinks when in front of the computer, much less that brand, and I don't piss in glasses.

I've been here since the start (That's kinda depressing) and I don't think /jp/ was ever like that. I remember this type of room thread since day 1, though i kinda think there was more discussions and admiration in these threads instead of trolling and insults.

"Weeaboo" is the key here. "Old /jp/" wasn't populated by weeaboos; everyone hated the shit out of Japan and their entertainment industry, but stuck around on the board for the VN, STG, and NEET discussions. Some VNs are somewhat well written (considering the country of origin), and have porn anyways in case the plot sucks, and shmups aren't even about the stories, so these two forms of entertainment were just about the only japanese things that someone could enjoy without being absolutely retarded.

On "old /jp/", no one would dare admit to liking anime, outside of maybe Lain or something. I even remember mods deleting anime threads. It just goes to show you how much times have changed.
