Actually, those figurines seem to be mostly figmas and Nendoroids. They're not that expensive, at least not when bought at the time when they were first released and from a shop/onlineshop that doesn't rip it's buyers off.

Actually the person who owns that room is gay, and has a boyfriend. So no, probably not a virgin.

Big difference between poster and canvas. But I don't mind over-spending on things I want.

I don't really consider "virgin" offensive. I mean, if anything, I'd respect a virgin more for being able to keep it in his or her pants.

Yes but its the shelves in the back that are expensive. If the shelves are about 75% full and the only thing on them are mange volumes you're looking at about $25,000usd

I'm pretty sure I've seen that big poster in a pixiv artbook so the artist might have ripped you off if you got it from DA.

It's a redjuice drawing. I've contacted him trying to buy prints directly (especially for fanart stuff), but he wouldn't. I bought it through his dA page. Ultimately it's dA doing the ripping off, as I've heard the artists get a very small % of sales.

Hmm, did you get them printed at a local shop?

Pic related. It's $200 for a 26.5 x 35.5 print, price of the frame included.

Shipping is free though, apparently...

Do-it-youself guy here.
(from pics>>4977836 and >>4978007)

I spend a good sum of money for my otaku lifestyle, but only on manga.
As you can see i tend to print my own stuff. From posters to papercrafts. Complex papercrafts are very tedious to make , but the results are extremely satisfying. (pic related, i keep 'em at my parent's house, since i don't have any more space here... yes , my parents are quite aware of my power level)

0 costs , better appearance than lots of plastic action figures.

Why am i buying lots of manga and comics in general ?
I've noticed that some of my complete first edition series have a collection value

...at least in the country where i live...

( even a shitty 1st edition manga like Naruto has reached nearly the double of the original price on ebay... )

I'd love a Saya print, but I've yet to see a piece of art that really caught my eye. Even redjuice's Saya is pretty meh in my opinion.

Yeah, Saya needs some better fanart. I'm probably ganna spend a whole week deciding what I'd want printed first, because I'm really indecisive and have a fucking huge collection of images stored on my hard drives.

Thanks for the link, off to check the site out.

Don't have any pictures of my room, but I do have a somewhat related question. Can anyone recommend a good display case for figs? I have mine in a shitty bookcase-type thing and it's completely full, including the top. I've heard good things about the Ikea Detolfs, but they don't ship them online and there's no Ikea store in my state.
