Seriously, what happened to the denizens of One Yukkuri Place? It seems like a good chunk of the population here now hate yukkuri with extreme vitriol, far more than /jp/. There's constantly long rants of justification of and cheering for heinous torture to them. I have no issue with fictional depictions themselves of course, but it surprises me how much some people here apparently hate yukkuri with a passion that makes /jp/'s reaction to Katawa Shoujo look tame by comparison.

Seeing the nice yukkuris being tortured actually saddens me more than seeing the actual Touhou characters raped or whatnot, because while the doujins are just singular non-canon fanfiction and the characters will always be back happy as ever in other works and in canon, individual yukkuri lives begin and end in the work they appear in. Some are actually kind and try their best, but came into and out of existence for the sole purpose of a gruesome death. Even though they are treated as mass producing replaceable, some definitely have unique personalities, such as the poor baby Alice that got pecked to death by birds while protecting "onii-shannn's" food. It is sad when the nice ones who don't deserve unkindness are systematically killed anyways. No one cares about their existence.

I really shouldn't like these, but there is just something alluring about the cute little things dieing horrible deaths.

Actually, no. I visit OYP on a regular basis just to laugh at the desperate neckbeard rants and wonderfully warped ethics.
It's deeply satisfying and soothing to see there are way bigger failures than I am.

Spock and Bones followed Kirk through the door to the engineering compartment at a sprint. It was still safe in here. Bones sank to his knees as Spock pounded the control panel, locking the door. "Goddamit, Jim, those things are vicious. I don't think there's anyone left alive above Deck 24. I saw Chekov go down under a wave, and if Scotty's not here, well...".

"The door should hold for now, sir, though if they find us, I can't imagine it will hold forever." "Of course, Spock, but we don't really have a choice. We - must - defend - the - engine - room!" Bones was looking idly at his phaser, still out of breath from their harried sprint. "Damnit, Jim, I'm a doctor, not a slayer of mutant heads! Why the fuck did you bring two of those back, anyway?"

Kirk shrugged. "They were kinda cute...weren't they? Weren't they?" His friends stared at him incredulously. "Well, I - ah - suppose - that -". His stilted speech was suddenly cut of by a the sound of tiny taps on metal. The trio whipped out their phasers, scurrying for cover behind desks. "It's been a pleasure, friends." "Indeed it has, Captain, Doctor." "Aw, just shut it, you two. Leave that till we see the pearly gates."

And with those words from the doctor, the grating at the door began. Implacable, the sound of netherworldly tooth against 24th century alloy sang through engineering. Crack. The door started to give, black hair and red ribbon just visible through the tiny hole. Phasers had long been set to maximum. Bones fired first, crimson-orange laser streaking through the small breach in the door, partially melting the barricade, scoring a glancing blow against a four-foot-tall Yukkureimu.

With that signal, the three started to fire nonstop. The giant head fell, only to be replaced by a swarm of smaller ones, yellow-headd Yukkurisas mixed in among their more plentiful sisters. The body of their fallen leader, molten alloy plastered to its head by phaser fire, was in the process of being eaten by its smaller comrades who ripped at its sides, letting out squeals of pleasure as the delicious bean paste stuffing spilled out. "Yu! Yu! Yuyuyuyu!"

Then, the moment of truth. The withering phaser fire, building a yukkuri mass grave outside of engineering, opened the breach in the door sufficiently for the smaller heads to fit. The first Yukkureimu over the top was instantly vaporized by two blasts, bean paste splattering engineering as the lasers cut off its banzai yell - only to be followed by a dozen more, ululating for blood in their strange language. "Take it easy~! It doesn't hurt easy~!"

The tide of heads was implacable. Yellow tresses under black hats, red ribbons and dark hair, they died by the dozens, the dead savaged by allied forces - particularly juicy corpses often brought two yukkuris to blows as they fought for the right to devour. And yet, there were always more, spilling towards the three heroes.

Click. Clickclickclick. Spock's phaser died. Seeing her chance, the Yukkurisa he had targeted leapt toward him, sinking her sharp teeth into his leg for a second before he brought his hand down in a lethal chop, sending paste everywhere. The chance was all they needed. McCoy and Kirk continued to fire, but the gap in the door continued to widen as more and more heads came, seeking their fill.

Spock, reduced to his Vulcan martial arts, was being overrun, as more and more heads climbed over their dead friends, until finally a Yukkureimu made a flying jump from a control panel onto his face, chewing at his eyes. Tripping over corpses, Spock collapsed to the ground, green blood spilling everywhere as his body was mangled by the vicious aliens.

McCoy couldn't take it. Making a dash from cover towards his fallen friend, two Yukkurisas blindsided him, ripping out his hamstring, felling the valiant doctor. His screams were soon silenced under the horde of heads. "Just take it easy~! It's easy being eaten~!"

And then there was Kirk. Slowly raising his phaser towards a quartet of Yukkureimus running toward him, he placed it at his left temple, and fired.

Tonight, they feasted. Oh, how they feasted.
