I'm actually playing Sharnoth right now.

The battles are kind of repetitive, but they're better than that ridiculous flowchart thing in Inganock. The voices also lapse out once you hit the third chapter. And, since it's set in ye olde England (1905), there's not a lot of moonrune colloquialisms, so ATLAS can make it somewhat readable. I'm only up to chapter six, but I much prefer it over Inganock, I have to say.

I think some of those criticisms are valid, but I actually really enjoyed the whole game.

It didn't all make sense, but I didn't mind because it wasn't supposed to.

Inganock was still excellent. Sure, there were lots of things that weren't as good as they could've been, like characters being left in their own arcs, but overall feel of the game was great.

It doesn't have any of that. For me the appeal was the setting (even though I don't normally care about setting Inganock's was just that good) and the episodic stories. The overarching plot was fairly weak but the individual stories made up for it.

I got to a point where I was sure a h-scene was going to occur between these two characters. I was almost disappointed when it didn't. Girl came out of her bathroom in a towel, guy was lurking in her room. Girl freaks out over letting someone die in the previous chapter/not caring about her dying. Towel falls off, and she's grabbing his collar out of sheer rage. He then touches her cheek, and they start talking about a contract the girl is obliged to follow.

I've a feeling that no h-scene will involve both of them. I almost feel sad.

No, Ixrec said no more ML after Alternative, and Nagato don't want to hack rUGP further. Basically Liar-soft belongs to Ixrec already since I don't see any big names interested in translating those, and newbie translators like from previous Sharnoth projects doesn't seem to be reliable.

Don't forget that Ixrec loves Inganock and Amaterasu main editor is a Britfag, so if you want British-flavored Sharnoth translation, Amaterasu is the best option.
