/fit/ is a bunch of douches, though. Seriously, anyone, especially someone from /jp/, going there asking for tips on losing weight will only get laughed at and shoved into some internet locker.

My tips:
- GO OUTSIDE! Yes, this will be the hardest part. Nothing strenuous, just go walk around for about 30 mins DAILY. When you're comfortable with that, bump it up to 1 hr. a day (even worse, but if you want to get better, do it)
- Fuck changing your diet, just drink more water, especially before eating. Not only does it help remove toxins and other shit you get from junk food and fatty meals easier from your system, it helps proportionate those meals so you actually eat less. Not to mention, if you live on fast food, doing this tip will save you some cash when you learn to start ordering lesser sized meals.
- NOW, you go ask /fit/ how to "tone/bulk up". They'll gladly help pump *clap* you up!

Hope this helps. She'll be waiting for you!

How to lose weight the easy way, from a /jp/er to /jp/ers:

1. Exercise will not make you lose weight. It helps build muscle and endurance and so forth, but it's not how you lose weight. Not that you shouldn't do it, of course.

2. Drop all sugary drinks. Not just soda--juice, too. Diet soda is fine, but water is amazing. Milk is probably good too, since it has a lot of fat and protein.

3. Don't eat any rice, pasta, or bread.

4. Don't keep any snacks in your room. Make it so that it takes _effort_ to go eat something, so you're less likely to grab food on a whim.

5. Cut down the number of meals per day and adjust your sleep patterns accordingly. I went down to 2 from 3. Note that you generally cannot avoid eating after you wake up, at least I can't: wake up just before you intend to eat your first meal (for me, lunch).

I lost 12 pounds in my first 9 days (I basically ate meat and vegetables only). It slows down a lot after that, but if you stick to it, you'll eventually be a skinny bastard like those dicks with ridiculous metabolisms who never get fat despite scarfing down entire pizzas and never exercising.

NB: Sugars and carbs primarily get burned by exercise. The less you exercise, the more you have to focus on eating less of them.

>> No.4864372

>>4864349
>2) consume fewer calories than you expend. (hurr)

This doesn't actually work in the way you'd think it would. The equation is:

Calories burned + weight gained = calories eaten

But "calories burned" isn't a constant, even if you don't change your amount of exercise. The primary gotcha is that if you eat a lot of carbs/sugar, particular at the same time, your body produces a ton of insulin to try to resolve the problem. This stores the sugar as fat, and in the meantime, turns off your metabolism. That's why you feel really tired after eating tons of starchy food.

tl;dr stop eating so much bread, eat animals.

And if you eat tons of fruits, that's actually also bad for losing weight. Tons of carbohydrates+sugars. Berries are fine though (especially blueberries). While you're losing, try to take vitamin supplements for the stuff you lose by not eating fruits.

Mostly just reiterating what's been said already, but here's what worked for me. I'm just a pretty average /jp/ nerd and it didn't take a huge amount of effort.

-Cut out snacks. Seriously. If you're going to watch anime and feel the need to eat out of habit, just drink a glass of water instead.
-Eat healthy, balanced food. This shouldn't be a problem if you still live with your parents.
-Don't worry too much about reducing quantity, just don't snack after meals.
-Exercise! Even with 30 minutes a day you will be dropping the weight very fast. Jogging around town is great. Don't be embarrassed - don't worry, no one gives a shit.
-If you can persuade a friend or acquaintance to exercise with you, excellent! Motivation is the biggest hurdle to getting in shape, it is much more pleasant to share the experience with a bro.
-If you have a bike, I highly rate cycling as an exercise form. It's low impact, great fun, and works almost all of your muscle groups. Again, even 30 minutes a day will show an improvement.
