>Lolis dont look that IRL :(.

I see one grammatical fuckup (no apostrophe), one missing word ("like" between "look" and "that") and an emoticon.

You fail three times, each time worse than the previous time.

Rule 3: Don't use smilies - Smilies aren't accepted in /jp/, please refrain from using them. We are all heartless bastards who don't want to see what kind of faces you make IRL while posting (This also applies to reaction images, if you want to post them so badly go to /a/ or /v/) Exceptions: ;_; (Life-like texture ;_;), 2ch smilies and ransmirk.jpg

Rule 1: Take it easy - We don't care about how inuyashasgirlfriend1997 made the most retarded weeaboo video in youtube and you "raged" for 26 minutes to it while killing your cat with your keyboard in the process. Or how some kid in Gaia plays Touhou and FS/N. We just take it easy, since we know the cause of most of these things are kids acting like kids (and if they aren't kids, we know they are just retards). This also means we don't want stupid drama.

Anyone here who can genuinely call themselves an oldfag:

a) dislikes the term "oldfag" and misses "lurk more"
b) understands the purpose of anonymity and the name field and doesn't abuse it by becoming a name-or trip-fag
c) came from /b/ originally but left when it became shit

When /b/ became shit is a subjective thing. I personally figure it to be roughly the time of the desuspam, or perhaps the habbo raids.

So long as you can lurk and learn rather than post blindly, strip the name, trip, and avatar, and generally take it easy, you are probably welcome.

>> No.4854182

>>4854168
Aye, that is all true. But, I adopted the name and trip because I was submitting content. And content without an original poster means there is no one to thank. And personally, I love the grovelling that people manage.

I used to lurk at first. I stopped once I posted original content. Wow this thread got derailed... The 'avatar' thing is just out of boredom. When one has nothing else to do they must entertain their self in some way, non?

I'll pull out an old post from /l/ to help me explain.

Basically, it boils down to the idea that content is more important than identity. If everyone is the same person, then every post can be taken at face value.

Names and trips exist for threads where an identity is a temporary need, and should be discarded after the thread is over.

I feel bad for you. At least you have an interest in something right? From your posts I guest you like anime even if you are from /b/. Maybe you can put yourself out of the 4chan loop for a while and enjoy some anime, especially if you haven't seen any for a long time. If you said all of the present anime is shit like /a/ always does, you can try some Visual Novels or Touhou if you haven't play any. It would be a refreshing experience for you. And if you intend to post on /jp/ for a long time, I suggest you do so. It's always better to understand the sub-culture of the board you are posting in.

>> No.4854216

>>4854210
Egotistical would be to say that I am better than another, when I am not. I simply prefer having my name known. Is that so wrong? The idea of anonymity is so there's no link to you. There's no tangible evidence of you as a person being the one tied to that post. That is beneficial to many. However, I do not feel it benefits me.

Learn the meaning of "Ego", please?

But without tripcodes, how would we identify trusted uploaders when they post their hashes in the Share threads?

>> No.4854225

>>4854216
No. The idea of anonymity is that there is no link to anyone. There is no "you" to link to. There is just content. Identity is not disconnected, it is completely irrelevant.

Ah, I love Anime. I just don't have the time I wish I did...

>>4854225
Aye, that too is true. However, as a designer, I have a different standpoint in anonymity. It's like an artist omitting their signature because someone else thinks that it shouldn't be linked to anyone. Now I may not really be an artist, hell my drawings suck, but the idea of submission of content is the same. It there is even one person who would like to know the person they should thank, is it not in your power to give them that which they seek?
