I like the movie's ending the most. Tomoya should have ended up with Fuko or Kyou after her death, and Ushio shouldn't have died. It just felt tacked on for a quick way to end the story. I don't really mind the light ball ending though.

Kyou's route was okay. Doing it any other way would just mean taking out Ryou as her twin and mangling it into a clone of Tomoyo.

Nothing really even happens in the "real world" of CLANNAD, as they are just passing dreams and fantasy of the characters from the "illusory world."

I personally just choose to ignore the extra stupid bits after the ending. Particularly since that ending had such a massive impact (in the VN, it seemed pretty shittily done in the anime).

Okazaki dies near the end of the second season. Then another Okazaki back in time live his school life again from the beginning of the first season and this time makes friends and helps people. After recolting many light orbs, he thinks Nagisa is going to die again like it happened with the other Okazaki, but thanks to the orbs she survives and everyone is happy ever after.
