Do we really want to draw Mokou and Meiling at the bar? Is there anything that makes it even a little bit interesting? If there is, then what? Though, with lion as her totem, how will the protagonist get a penile monster partner? And it seems logical to me that the characters would get totems that reflect what their town does - I'd figure with storytelling as focus something like the crow or coyote would be appropriate, and a village focused on agriculture could be close rams, since they're associated with fertility (cornucopia and all that), or earthworms which, in China, are rumored to be able to ward off storms and clear the skies.

Didn't coyote have a mile long dick in one of those Native American tales? A trickster spirit sure sounds like one to suddenly bestow his partner with a penis.

Well, the totem things are supposed to reflect the personality of whoever summons them. The protagonist is lazy and stuff so she gets a cat (though she hoped for a rabbit).

Quite a few people say they're working on VN projects solo. After my previous experience on collaborating with /jp/ers to make a VN I believe it's the way to go.
