Since Maria is a little kid she doesn't usually do that, but since Rosa was a dumbfuck who thought the murders were all acts and Maria was a dumbfuck who thought she'd be revived anyway, they went out into the rose garden with a fucking murderer about. Murderer approaches them. In the fantasy scene it's EVA-Beatrice. We know that's bullshit. Who does Maria call them? Beatrice. Does this mean Maria just calls any old person Beatrice if they claim to be? Doubt it, she really knows them if you look at her notebook. If the Maria in that scene is to be believed it really WAS Beatrice. The same Beatrice who told Maria to sing in episode 1.

Jessica and George also not that stupid, therefore they lie.

Suspension of disbelief is nice, but really, there are limits. You can't exactly say that Shannon is Jessica's best friend and have her be close with Kanon and have her just NOT KNOW randomly.

Perhaps if you show that Jessica is also insane, then you create that wiggle room. But as is, the Jessica paradox is one that will always be linked with Shkanon. Either you follow out the paradox to it's logical conclusion -(Moon-chan or something similar), or you have to disregard the theory entirely.
