DS is awesome, being generally easier than StB at the beginning but still managing to be pretty hard on some scenes - which are a lot more pretty too. All characters from 10 to 12 (including Tenshi and Iku) plus Reimu, Marisa and Sanae are in, along with a new character, Hatate Himekaidou or something like that. She's playable once you beat all of her scenes, which are the last things to be unlocked in the game.

The music's been pretty slow, though. The latest thread (>>4747162) doesn't have many things besides our sad bumps asking for our favorite albums, but there already some good stuff in the MediaFire folders.

Cirno Racing is close, but it's not as good as it was a set-up. Vampirish Night was cancelled because of bullshit reasons by some outside party, people hate that the most. ZUN was always just a mediator, anyway. He gets his "ideas" from Yukari. But now I see she's been dealing with a fraud. She's been telling him stories about Gensokyo, but he's been arbitrarily making stuff up as we can see here.

Some nice albums that haven't come out yet include O-Life Japan, UI-70, Oriens, and others. I remember one of those grid-like images with all albums we were expecting, but I don't know if anyone's saved it...

As for the porn OVA, get it, it's hilarious. Reisen sounds like a little girl, there's erotic Touhou music in the background, Eirin's eyes are delicious, and there's even DFC.

Its one of the ending screens to EoSD, before Yukari even existed. I wouldn't say it really confirms that pairing, but yeah it certainly looks that at least Remilia has a thing for the red-white.

Honestly, this is why more people need to keep trying to clear the games on normal. Most people don't know about these endings. Such as the ending where Sakuya catches Marisa stealing books, but then hides her from Remilia finding out. No anger, knives, or anything. . Kinda kills off the general impression of Marisa and Sakuya's interactions that fans generally have, and is probably the source of the (painfully rare) Sakuya x Marisa doujins.

And man, you should see some of the PC98 endings. One set of bad ends has Marisa basically torturing Reimu by testing spells on her.

That's because we all acknowledged that the guy who posted that topic about the music wasn't bad at all. Vampirish Night's development was halted because all the kids who saw that topic e-mailed its creator because he "stole" the music and stuff. The guy who had his music "stolen" didn't encourage them at all, and instead only asked what he should do on that case.

A lot of stuff from fanont can be disproved by not only reading the endings, but sometimes by simply playing the game. Alice's behavior is a perfect example of that. Another common misunderstanding that is often shown in fanart and doujins is the belief that Flandre is locked in her basement, instead of her being a shut-in by choice.

I've taken to using AGTH while playing the PC98 games. Its not perfect, but it does it's job. Better than waiting for people that ALREADY have the translations to patch it in.

Its not so much the fact that I have to wait for the PC98 endings that bothers me. Its the fact that there is no real way to tell if anyone is even working on it.

I think if its going to take 5 - 10 years to get the PC98 games patched, maybe the translators should release that code.

Or at the very least, give a good synopsis of the endings on the wiki. Zun's rules only cover reprinting the endings, not paraphrasing.

Most of the Windows translations were lifted directly from the gensokyo.org patches. The people who made those patches follow ZUN's rule. Technically speaking, it's their content. All they had to do was talk to a Wikia admin about it.

It would be nice if someone would bother to put it up on some website again though. It's 100 MB, and it's easier to just browse to a website to check the ending for one of the games than to download all the endings in an archive. Especially if you just want to look it up again: I don't think many people will bother to keep the files around after they have seen the endings.

Not bothering to put it up on a website myself because I would have to use some free host and the kiddies would just try to get that removed again. At least if it's on some filesharing site and it gets deleted I can upload it again in a few minutes.
