I don't want to hijack the main thing about this thread because it's really about the anikura scene and not myself but I'm sure there's a few questions that people would like to ask and get answers about it. I don't remember all of the questions asked during the anniversary threads but I can try to answer the ones I remembered:
Aya-Nation has a family to raise. Majority of the time, performers (both DJ and VJ) end up leaving the scene to raise a family. In many occasions, often marriages happens in the scene. It's much like work romance also applies to hobbies that you take seriously.
Eva messaged me directly to make the opening video and gave me some instructions on how to do it. He let me take creative freedom on how to approach it. It was brutal due to my job work hours increased and ended up learning different viedo techniques to pull off. Overall, I think it was great but I certainly can do it better if I didn't had to work on it nightly piece by piece after work.

I can try to answer questions to the best I can.

Well, if the mogra vods getting nuked wasn't bad enough, I decided to go full retard today and accidentally reformatted my archival drive, thinking it was a new drive I was installing. My last backups are from the end of last year, so I've basically just lost a full year of recorded sets.

Worse yet, it was a veracrypt-encrypted drive, so standard methods of data recovery are currently failing me. Gonna dig around a bit more tomorrow, but figured that I'd ask around here, on the off chance that someone around here is familiar with this type of stuff.

I got in the habit of encrypting my drives probably close to a decade ago, when I was a lot more paranoid about the idea of someone finding my doujin, and wanted to ensure that the drive was inaccessible without an additional level of security. For what it's worth, I do have some stuff backed up to an external HDD, but it's fairly curated, and there are a ton of unsorted recordings from the past year that I had been meaning to review that're now just gone in smoke.

Not quite giving up yet, since I can still mount the drive with the backup header, but the filesystem is still unrecognized, so I think I need to get another drive that's larger to see if I can clone anything out of it to salvage.
